The first thing to do is put new batteries in your remote. As well, the receiver inside your fireplace requires batteries and they may need changing too. This is a small black box located under the bottom of your fireplace. The remote control communicates with the receiver, telling the fireplace what to do and both must have well charged and good quality batteries at all times for proper operation of your fireplace. If new batteries have been installed in both the remote and receiver and you are still having issues, contact your qualified fireplace dealer to have a service technician diagnose for any problems.
